Hwy 23 and Hwy 301 resurfacing near St. Cloud begins Oct. 17

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Motorists traveling on Highway 23 near Interstate 94 and on Highway 301 in St. Cloud will encounter lane closures, beginning Monday, Oct. 17, as crews resurface the roads.

Pilot cars and flaggers will direct traffic through both work zones:

  • Highway 23 from just west of I-94 to approximately two miles east of I-94
  • Highway 301 from Highway 10 to Sherburne Country Road 8

Work will be completed by early November, weather permitting. Hardrives Inc. of Rogers is the prime contractor for the $858,000 roadway improvement project.
During construction and road maintenance work, the Minnesota Department of Transportation urges drivers to:

  • Check or call 511 for up-to-date information about traffic and road conditions.
  • Watch for construction crews and equipment in the work zone.
  • Follow posted speed limits; fines double in work zones.
  • Plan ahead and expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
  • Stay alert; expect the unexpected.
