Expect lane closures on Hwy 15 south of St. Cloud on Oct. 6

 

CAPX2020 utility project

 

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - Beginning at 9 a.m., on Thursday, Oct. 6, motorists will encounter left lane closures in both directions of Highway 15 just south of the I-94 interchange to allow crews to install jersey barrier as part of the CAPX2020 program.     

 

Work is expected to be completed by 3 p.m., weather permitting.   

 

CapX2020 is a joint initiative of investor-owned, cooperative and municipal utilities in Minnesota and the surrounding region to upgrade and expand the electric transmission grid to ensure continued reliable and affordable service.

 

The helicopter and implosive connector work is expected to last through October.

 

Motorists are reminded to keep their eyes on the road.
