BAXTER, Minn. - Motorists can resume traffic on Highway 71 through the city of Wadena when it opens to traffic Friday afternoon, Nov. 13, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Motorist may continue to encounter periodic lane/shoulder closures as crews complete work on sidewalks, curbs and landscaping.
In the spring, work operations will resume as crews pave a final layer of blacktop and paint permanent road striping.
Larson Excavation Contractors, Inc., of Holdingford is the prime contractor for the $1.4 million pavement resurfacing project. Traffic had been detoured since work began in late August.
