BAXTER, Minn. - Motorists should plan for
single lane closures on eastbound and westbound Highway 10 from
south of Motley to south of Cushing in Morrison County as roadwork
gets underway June 29.
Crews will apply a seal coat to the pavement surface that will
extend the life of the 16-mile section of road.
Traffic will shift onto one lane through the work zone. Drivers
are urged to slow down and be alert for heavy moving equipment
and loose gravel on the roadway surface.
All work will be done during daylight hours.
Work operations will suspend over the Fourth of July weekend from
noon on Thursday, July 2, until 9 a.m. on Monday, July 6 to accommodate
motorists traveling during the holiday.
Crews will install permanent pavement markings in early July.
Astech Corp. of St. Joseph is the prime contractor for the $719,000
road preservation project to be complete by mid-July.
