ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- Motorists traveling on Highway
23 may encounter single-lane closures in each direction between
Washington Memorial Drive and 4th Avenue South beginning Tuesday,
March 17.
In preparation for the Highway 23 improvement project, scheduled
to begin in early April, crews will install a temporary signal
system at Washington Memorial Drive and temporary lighting along
the south side of Highway 23 near the Lake George bridge. Prep
work will also include the removal of the center concrete median.
The public is invited to attend an open house about the project
on Tuesday, March 24, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the St. Cloud
Public Library, Mississippi River Conference Room, 1300 W. Germain
Street. In addition to a short presentation at 6 p.m., MnDOT
officials will be available to answer questions about project
staging, time lines and detour routes.
