Roadwork to begin mid-July on Highway 237
and I-94 in Stearns County
ST. CLOUD, Minn.Motorists should plan
for delays on Highway 237 and Interstate 94 in Stearns County
as road work on a $6.5 million safety and pavement preservation
project begins in July.
Crews will replace culverts and guardrails, and mill and
overlay a new blacktop road surface, including shoulders
and interchange ramps. All work will be done during daylight
hours.
Highway 237 New Munich to I-94 work to begin July 14
Location:
Highway 237 from Stearns
County Highway 30 in New Munich to I-94 (3 miles)
Traffic impacts:
Single-lane closures. A pilot car and flaggers will direct
traffic. Motorists should plan for delays and periodic stops.
I-94 Melrose to Albany work to begin July
21
Location:
Westbound and eastbound I-94 one-mile east
of Stearns County Highway 13 in Melrose to just east of Albany
(13 miles)
Traffic impacts:
Plan for delays, reduced speeds, lane shifts
and closures.
On weekends, work operations will suspend Friday at noon
and resume Monday morning at sunrise.
Hardrives of Rogers is the prime contractor for the road
project slated to be complete by the end of September.
MnDOT urges motorists to slow down, drive with caution,
and obey posted reduced speeds in the work zone. For updated
