BAXTER, Minn. - Installation
of a new traffic signal system begins Monday, May 19, at the intersection
of Highway 371 and Crow Wing County Highway 16 north of Pequot Lakes.
During the work, motorists may encounter occasional shoulder and lane
closures with flaggers controlling traffic.
Work includes widening the intersection and installing overhead
lighting. Anderson Brothers Construction of Brainerd is the prime
contractor for the $373,000 safety improvement project.
The new signal system will be fully operational by mid-June, weather
permitting.
