Buffalo to Rockford

  • Reconstruct seven miles of Hwy 55 (full-depth reclamation) from Division St in Buffalo to Autumn Oaks/Electric Dr in Rockford, includes shoulders and turn lanes
  • Replace or repair underground culverts and cattle passes
  • Replace guardrail

Rockford

  • Resurface Hwy 55 in Rockford from Autumn Oaks/Electric Dr to east of Main St at the Crow River, includes shoulders and turn lanes
  • Install a center left-turn lane at Hwy 55/Walnut Pl
  • Upgrade pedestrian sidewalks and approach ramps from Ash St to Main St
  • Upgrade the signal at Hwy 55/Main St with a left-turn flashing yellow arrow

  • Through traffic: Detour uses Hwy 25 at Buffalo, Hwy 12 to Delano and Wright CR 139/County Line Rd, Hennepin CR 11 and CR 92/Dogwood St to Rockford. Expect delays, and seek possible alternative routes. Detour map
  • Local traffic: Hwy 55 will need to close to all traffic at some locations (replace underground culverts). Please watch for changes, follow road signs and use the closest alternate route.
  • Access to businesses and residences to be maintained
