2018 Hwy 371 road improvements

COMPLETE: Hwy 371 Backus to Hackensack

Work: Reconstruct seven miles of road surface (full-depth reclamation) and repair or replace culverts/pipes from west junction Highway 87 in Backus to Cass County Rd 40 in Hackensack.
Construct: Sept. 4 to Oct. 28, 2018
Benefits: New, smoother road surface and improved drainage

COMPLETE: Business Hwy 371 Brainerd

Work: Reconstruct Hwy 371B/S 6th St from Hwy 210 to Joseph St in Brainerd, includes city utilities, sidewalks, accesses. Crews will return in 2019 to install permanent road markings.
Construct: April to early-November, 2018
Benefits: Smoother road surface

COMPLETE: Hwy 371B interchange south of Brainerd/Baxter

Work: Resurface south of Brainerd/Baxter at the Hwy 371/Hwy 371B interchange ramps and on Hwy 371B northward about one mile to south of 1st St, near Barrows. Upgrade overhead street lighting.
Construct: October
Benefits: Smoother road surface

COMPLETE: Hwy 371 Little Falls to Fort Ripley

Work: Resurface both directions of Hwy 371 (microsurface) from south of Hwy 10 in Little Falls to north of Morrison County Rd 48, near Fort Ripley.
Construct: Aug. 28 to Sept. 15
Benefits: Smoother road surface

COMPLETE: Hwy 371 Baxter/Brainerd

Work: Resurface both directions of Hwy 371 (cold in-place recycle) from south of Hwy 210 in Baxter to 50th Ave SW, south of the Business Hwy 371 interchange, in Brainerd
Construct: May 29 to July 20, 2018
Benefits: Smoother road surface

Nisswa, Pequot Lakes, Jenkins

Work: Landscape along new four lane in Nisswa, Pequot Lakes and Jenkins
Construct: Fall 2018 to Fall 2019
Impacts: Minor; periodic lane or shoulder closures
Cost: $500,000 (estimated)
