MnDOT reopens Hwy 59 at railroad tracks in Thief River Falls October 15
BEMIDJI, Minn. — The Minnesota Department of Transportation will reopen Hwy 59 at the railroad crossing near Kinney Avenue north in Thief River Falls beginning at 7:00 a.m. on October 15. Since October 8, motorists have encountered a temporary detour and closure of Hwy 59 as railroad crews replaced the crossing.
MnDOT urges motorists to always drive with caution, and reminds them to slow down in the work zone and never enter a roadway that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
