Open houses for Kennedy Bridge Planning Study set for Dec. 16-17

Meetings to be held in East Grand Forks, Minn. and Grand Forks, N.D.

BEMIDJI, Minn. – The public is invited to attend either of two open houses scheduled for Dec. 16 and Dec. 17 to discuss the findings of the Kennedy Bridge Planning Study.

Representatives from MnDOT and NDDOT will be on hand to answer questions and listen to input from the public. There will be two open houses:

Grand Forks: Monday, Dec. 16, 4:30 p.m. to 7p.m. at Grand Forks City Hall, Room A102, 255 North Fourth Street.

East Grand Forks: Tuesday, Dec. 17, 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at East Grand Forks City Hall, Training Room, 600 DeMers Avenue.

The Highway 2 Kennedy Bridge spanning the Red River of the North is being evaluated to determine a long-term plan for maintaining this important crossing. A range of options are being considered, and input from residents is important in defining the objectives and potential impacts of the project by understanding its users’ needs.
