J.T. Anderson selected as assistant district engineer for MnDOT District Two

BEMIDJI, Minn. – J.T. Anderson has been named assistant district engineer for maintenance operations for the Minnesota Department of Transportation District 2 in Northwestern Minnesota.

Anderson had been serving in an acting role since June 2012 and has been with MnDOT for over 17 years. Prior to that he worked with the Missouri Department of Transportation and has experience working within the planning, materials and construction sections.

A native of Hallock, Minn., Anderson earned his civil engineering degree from North Dakota State University in 1993 and holds a Masters of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering from the University of North Dakota.

Working out of the Crookston headquarters office, Anderson will oversee the District’s field operations, bridge, signs, Crookston permits, and fleet functions.

District 2 comprises over 1,800 miles of state highways across 14 counties and employs approximately 220 people to handle snow and ice control, roadway construction, traffic, land acquisition, business operations, planning, design and other transportation-related duties.
