Craig Collison selected as district engineer for northwestern Minnesota


BEMIDJI, Minn. – Craig Collison has been selected to serve as district engineer for the Minnesota Department of Transportation in District 2, which has 17 truck stations and three regional offices throughout 14 counties in northwestern Minnesota.

Collision had been serving as acting district engineer since May 2012. He has been with MnDOT for the past 29 years, 24 of which have been spent in District 2.

A native of Hines, Minn., Collison earned his civil engineering degree from North Dakota State University. He resides in Bemidji with his wife, Becky, and has four grown children.

District 2 comprises over 1,800 miles of state highways across 14 counties and employs approximately 220 people to handle snow and ice control, roadway construction, traffic, land acquisition, business operations, planning, design and other transportation-related duties.
