Hwy 2 Traffic signs to be replaced at Crookston intersections Sept. 24

Hwy 2 intersections with County Road 11 and County Road 61

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists on Hwy 2 in Crookston may encounter brief delays at the intersections of County Road 11 and County Road 61 on Sept. 24 as crews replace signs on the overhead traffic signal arms.

The signal lights will flash red during the upgrade and the intersection will be a four-way stop. Work is expected to take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., weather permitting. Brief lane closures may occur.

Motorists should use caution during maintenance work, MnDOT urges drivers to:

  • Watch for construction crews and equipment in the work zone. 
  • Follow posted speed limits; fines double in work zones.
  • Plan ahead and expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
  • Stay alert; expect the unexpected.
