Orange barrels on a highway

Lane closures on Kennedy Bridge in East Grand Forks begins today

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists may experience delays over the next three days as crews wash and flush the Kennedy Bridge in East Grand Forks.

Westbound traffic is reduced to one lane through Wednesday afternoon, then Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane until crews finish on Thursday evening, weather permitting. All lanes will be open at 4 p.m. daily.

Flushing the bridge helps preserve its lifespan.

The Kennedy Bridge will also require lane closures June 4 – 6 for annual bridge inspections.

Motorists should always drive with caution, slowdown in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
