MnDOT names new regional public affairs coordinator
BEMIDJI, Minn. – The northwest district of the Minnesota Department of Transportation will have a new public affairs coordinator with the appointment of TJ Melcher beginning March 4. Melcher is currently serving as the public affairs coordinator for MnDOT’s District 8 in Willmar.
Melcher, a graduate of Bemidji State University, has 13 years of media experience in broadcast and print journalism. He was an on-air radio host on KBUN in Bemidji and spent five years with the Bemidji Pioneer newspaper prior to starting with MnDOT.
Melcher replaces Karen Bedeau who is retiring from state service on March 1, 2013.
