Hwy 75 detour from Hwy 200 to Shelly in Norman County begins June 15

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Motorists traveling on Highway 75 in Norman County will encounter a detour at the Highway 200 junction as crews begin work on a bridge a half-mile south of Shelly.

Northbound traffic will be detoured east on Highway 200 for 14 miles, north on Highway 9 for 11 miles, then west on Norman County Road 3 for 13 miles to Shelly. Southbound traffic will follow the same route in reverse.

Improvements to the bridge include grading, deck work and a concrete overlay, which will provide a smoother, more even surface for passing motorists.

The work is expected to be completed by June 29.
