Hwy 89 culvert replacement south of Fourtown begins Aug. 3
Traffic will use detour
BEMIDJI, Minn. — Motorists will encounter a detour on Hwy 89 between Fourtown and Thorhult in northwestern Beltrami County beginning Aug. 3, as crews replace a culvert.
Northbound traffic will be detoured west on Hwy 1 for approximately 17 miles, then north on Pennington County Road 28 and Marshall County Road 54 to Grygla. Southbound traffic will follow the same detour in reverse.
The project is expected to be completed in one week, weather permitting.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and plan ahead for extra travel time through work zones.
