Hwy 9 construction south of U.S. Hwy 2 resumes July 26
Detour begins July 25
BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists traveling on Hwy 9 will encounter a detour between U.S. Hwy 2 and the Polk/Norman county line when construction resumes Tuesday, July 26, to repair several culverts and resurface the Hwy. The project was temporarily suspended during a three-week state government shutdown.
To prepare for the work, a detour will begin Monday, July 25. Northbound traffic from Ada will be detoured east on Norman County Road 19 for approximately 11 miles to Hwy 32, then north on Hwy 32 to Hwy 102 north of Fertile, and northwest on Hwy 102 to Hwy 9 . Southbound traffic will follow the same detour route in reverse.
The project was scheduled to be completed in early August, but will be revised due to the delay.
