Hwy 89 detour north of Grygla begins May 11
Emergency closure due to culvert failure
Bemidji, Minn. Motorists will encounter an emergency detour from Hwy 89 north of Grygla beginning at noon on Wednesday, May 11, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The detour route from Grygla is north on Marshall County Road 54 for eight miles, west on Marshall County Road 6 for six miles, then back to Hwy 89. Southbound traffic will take the same detour route in reverse.
The detour is posted at nine ton and will be in place for approximately two weeks as crews work to replace a failed culvert.
