Slow down in construction zone on Hwy 197 and Hwy 71 in Bemidji
BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists are reminded to slow down and keep alert in the construction zone on Highway 197 and Highway 71 on the south end of Bemidji as crews work on major reconstruction of the roadway and a new bridge over U.S. Highway 2.
Drivers should be especially alert at the temporary 4-way stop at Carr Lake Road/County Road 404 crossing.
A detour routing traffic from Highway 71 on to Hubbard and Beltrami County Roads is expected to end early next week, weather permitting.
Mn/DOT would like to thank the public for their patience and cooperation as it works to improve this important corridor in the Bemidji area.
