Rail crossing improvement on Highway 2 in Erskine starts Sept. 13
Detour required

 

BEMIDJI, Minn. – A project to improve the railroad crossing on Highway 2 at Erskine starts Monday, Sept. 13, and is expected to be complete by Wednesday, Sept. 15. 

 

Canadian Pacific Railroad will replace the rails and repave the highway for a smoother ride over the tracks.

 

Westbound traffic will be detoured south on Highway 59, then west on Polk County Road 41, then north on Polk County Road 34 and back to Highway 2. Eastbound traffic will follow the same route in reverse.

 

Motorists are reminded to allow extra travel time for the detour.
