Highway 11 from Baudette to Pelland closed all heavy traffic from Sep. 29- Oct. 2
BEMIDJI, Minn. – Highway 11 from Baudette to Pelland will be closed to all trucks and other heavy traffic from Wednesday, Sept. 29 – Saturday, Oct. 2 as concrete is poured for the deck of the new Clementson Bridge.
Detour route:
Eastbound traffic will be detoured south on Highway 72 for 60 miles, then east on Highway 1 for five miles to Highway 71, then north on Highway 71 for 61 miles to Pelland. Westbound traffic will use the same route in reverse.
Local automobile traffic is allowed through the construction zone at a reduced speed.
According to Todd Vonasek, Minnesota Department of Transportation project engineer, keeping heavy traffic off the bridge will provide a more stable curing environment for the new concrete.
The detour is expected to be fully removed Saturday afternoon, Oct. 2.
