Detour from Highway 2 east of Crookston starts Aug. 9
BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists will encounter several detours east of Crookston on Highway 2 and Highway 9 as crews continue to rebuild and realign portions of the highways. The detour will take place from Aug. 9 – 18, depending on the weather.
Detour routes:
- Eastbound traffic on Highway 2 in Crookston will be detoured east to Polk County Road 11, then south on Polk County Road 46, also known as the Gentilly truck bypass.
- Westbound traffic on Highway 2 will be detoured north to Polk County Road 46, then west on Polk County Road 11 into Crookston.
- Southbound traffic using Highway 9 will be detoured to the Highway 75 bypass in Crookston, south to Polk County Road 14, then east to Polk County Road 45.
- Westbound traffic on Highway 102 will be detoured south on Highway 9, west to Polk County Road 45, then north on County Road 14 to the Highway 75 bypass.
The realignment and reconstruction of this portion of Highway 2 will provide stability and strength for the underlying road bed and provide users with a safer, smoother ride.
