Lane restrictions begins on Hwy 1 and Hwy 89 at the Sandy River Bridge
BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists will encounter minor traffic delays on Highway 1 and Highway 89 at the Sandy River Bridge on the southwestern shore of Lower Red Lake as crews continue to build a new bridge.
Traffic is restricted to one lane with speed reduced to 15 mph from Aug. 4 –- Aug. 31 from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. and may include Sundays. Motorists are warned to slow down and follow flagger instructions.
A full detour route is planned for early September and will be announced at a later date.
When complete, the new bridge will be wider for safer passage.
