Rail crossing improvements will cause detours, lane closure
BEMIDJI, Minn. – Short-term detours and lane closures will begin Monday, Aug. 23, as removals and improvements are made to three railroad crossing areas on Highway 11, Highway 313 and Highway 75 in northwestern Minnesota, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The exact locations and traffic impacts are listed as:
- Highway 313 in Warroad—Crews will remove the crossing just north of the junction with Highway11 Aug. 23, and repave the highway Aug. 24. Traffic will be detoured using Roseau County Road 74 and Main Avenue in Warroad.
- Highway 11 in Roseau—Crews will remove the crossing on Highway 11 east of Roseau Aug. 24, and repave the highway Aug. 25. No detour is required. Motorists are advised to watch for lane closures and flaggers.
- Highway75 in Crookston—Crews will remove the crossing, replace and pave from Aug. 25 –Aug.27. Traffic will be detoured using Polk County Road 16 and Polk County Road 9.
Motorists will experience a smoother ride over the rail crossings after the project is completed. All paving work is contingent upon weather conditions.
