Highway 11 detour continues along northern border from Baudette to Pelland
Plan ahead for more travel time
BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists are reminded of a 126-mile construction detour from Highway 11 along the northern border from Baudette to Pelland, as the Minnesota Department of Transportation continues with a multi-year effort to improve the Highway 11 corridor.
From Aug. 9 – 22, all traffic will be directed to use the detour as crews replace culverts.
All eastbound traffic on Highway 11 is detoured to Highway 72 south of Baudette for 60 miles, then east on Highway 1 for five miles to Highway 71, then north on Highway 71 for 61 miles back to Highway 11 at Pelland. All westbound traffic will follow the same route in reverse. The detour will remain in effect through September.
Mn/DOT would like to thank the public for their patience and cooperation as we work to improve the condition of this important corridor to all northern travelers.
