Public meeting to discuss Highway 34 improvements from park Rapids to Akeley set for July 27
Discussion will include plans for Highway 226 from Highway 34 to Dorset
BEMIDJI, Minn. – The public is invited to attend an information meeting on Tuesday, July 27 to discuss planned improvements for Highway 34 from Park Rapids to Akeley and for Highway 226 from Highway 34 to Dorset, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said today.
The meeting will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Senior Citizens Center, 114 Village Road in Nevis.
The meeting will be conducted in an open-house format with a brief presentation at 5 p.m. Mn/DOT staff will be available beyond 7 p.m. if needed to accommodate public interest.
The highway improvements scheduled for construction in 2011 include bituminous reclamation, turn lanes, culverts, lighting, and resurfacing.
