Speed limit changes on Highway 197/Paul Bunyan Drive in Bemidji
BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists should be alert for speed limit changes on Highway 197 and Paul Bunyan Drive in Bemidji.
The speed limit entering the city from the north junction of Highway 197 and Highway 71 has been reduced from 45 mph to 35 mph and the speed limit from the junction of Highway 197 and Bemidji Avenue North near Bemidji State University has been increased from 30 mph to 35 mph.
This change provides for a steady traffic speed at 35 mph on Highway 197 through the city, improving safety.
