Maintenance repairs on area highways begin Aug. 17
BEMIDJI, Minn – Motorists will encounter minor traffic delays with intermittent lane closures as maintenance repairs on four sections of state highways in northwestern Minnesota get underway beginning Monday, Aug. 17, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said today.
The affected highways are:
Highway 200 in Ada – Crews will remove an abandoned railroad track just west of the junction with Highway 9 and Highway 200. Traffic will be restricted to 10 feet in each direction. This project is expected to be complete in two weeks.
The other three projects will consist of full-depth pavement repairs with lane restrictions to 11 feet in each direction. These project locations are:
- Highway 75 from Climax to Crookston.
- Highway 220 from Climax to East Grand Forks.
- Highway 220 from East Grand Forks to eight miles north.
These projects are expected to be complete in mid-October, weather permitting.
Motorists are cautioned to slow down when approaching all construction and maintenance zones and obey all traffic signing instructions.
