BEMIDJI, Minn. -Motorists can expect traffic delays as work begins Monday, Aug. 18 on Highway 34 from Highway 64 at Akeley to Highway 371 in Walker.

The Highway 34 improvement project includes culvert replacements, turn lane construction and bituminous milling and resurfacing.

Drivers are cautioned to slow down and follow the instruction of flaggers and a pilot car through the work zone. Over width permits will not be allowed during daylight hours for the duration of the project.

The project is expected to be complete by Sept. 22, depending on the weather.
