Rout, seal projects at three highway locations to begin July 28 - lane closures, intermittent delays expected
BEMIDJI, Minn. - Motorists can expect intermittent delays beginning Monday, July 28, as road crews rout and seal three sections of highways in the northwestern area of the state, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said. Affected highways are: U.S. Highway 71 from one mile south of Tenstrike to the junction with Highway 72 at Blackduck Highway 1 from the south junction with Highway 89 to the east Red Lake Reservation line Highway 1 from the Highway 72 junction at Shooks east to the junction with U.S. Highway 71 Traffic will be restricted to one lane with reduced speeds during daylight hours. Motorists are cautioned to be alert to flagging instructions and watch for a pilot car to guide them through the work zone. Lane restriction will be set at 12 feet.
