Highway 197 in Bemidji to have temporary detour July 6 - detour will accommodate Water Carnival Parade |

BEMIDJI, Minn. - A temporary detour on State Highway 197, also known as Bemidji Avenue, will be enforced beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 6 to accommodate the annual Jaycees Water Carnival Parade. Traffic will be directed by the Bemidji Police Department onto 2nd St. westbound to America Avenue. After the parade, traffic will be permitted to travel north on Highway 197 to 5th St. following the detour route established for the Highway 197 reconstruction project. Motorists are reminded to be especially alert during the July 4th holiday and to drive with extreme care. For information
