BEMIDJI, Minn. - Motorists can expect short delays as construction work on Highway 71 at the junction of Highway 87 south of Park Rapids begins Tuesday, May 6.

Traffic on Highway 71 at this location will be reduced intermittently to one lane with flagging operations as work gets underway to install a lighting system, replace a culvert and add turn lanes.

Work is expected to be complete by June 6.
