Detour at the east end of Highway 34 in Park Rapids removed today |

BEMIDJI, Minn. - Highway 34 from the west junction to the east junction of County Road 107 in Park Rapids will reopen to traffic today, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. In addition, permit restrictions on Highway 34 will be lifted effective at 6 p.m. today until further notice. Activity in the work zone will continue for up to two more weeks as street lights and permanent signing are installed. This work may require temporary lane closures. Motorists are being asked to remain alert and cautious in the work zone. The Highway
34 reconstruction project is in the process of shutting down for
the winter. The final stage of the project will resume next spring.
