First stage of State Hwy. 34 re-construction in Park Rapids nears completion |
|||
|
Bemidji, Mn. - The first stage of the T.H. 34 construction project is nearing completion and all lanes in town are now open to traffic. In addition, the traffic signal systems at the T.H. 34 intersections with Main Ave. and T.H. 71 are now operational. Currently, the T.H. 34 final pavement markings are being installed on that portion of the project which is detoured onto Co. Rd. 107 east of town. This work is expected to be completed early next week and the detour removed. Motorists are advised that construction activity will continue for the next week or two with the installation of street lights and final signing and to use caution while driving in the work zone. Motorists
are also advised that with the addition of the two new traveling
lanes, there is still NO PARKING permitted on T.H. 34. For information
on road construction and conditions around the state, call 511
