Bemidji, MN. - Motorists traveling on U.S. Highway 71 north of Bemidji in the Turtle River area will encounter a detour beginning Monday, July 23, because of emergency repair work on a culvert.

Traffic traveling north on Highway 71 will be detoured onto Beltrami County 305 to Beltrami County 21, then north on County Road 21 to the junction of Highway 71 with County Road 23. Traffic traveling south will follow the same detour route in reverse.

The project is expected to be complete by August 3.
