Bemidji, MN. --- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is notifying the public that a safety operation on State Highway 64 from Akeley north to the junction with State Highway 200 will be conducted beginning early Wednesday morning.

The safety operation is a micro milling of the road surface to create better traction conditions. The work is expected to take approximately 6-7 working days.

Drivers are cautioned to slow down when approaching the work zone and watch for flaggers and equipment.
