Bemidji, Mn. -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is notifying the public of the starting date of a bituminous overlay project on State Highway 11 in Kittson and Roseau counties. The 17.2 mile project extends from the east limits of Karlstad to the west limits of Greenbush and is scheduled to get underway on Monday, September 25th. Mn/DOT Project Engineer Shawn Groven advises motorists to expect some traffic delays as construction will require the closure of one lane at various intervals. Groven said flagging operations will be in place and traffic will be guided through the work zone by a pilot car. The work is expected to be complete in mid-October. For statewide information on construction and other related road conditions, call 5-1-1 or log on to Mn/DOT's website at www.511mn.org.
