Bemidji, Mn. -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is announcing the re-opening of State Highway 64 south of Akeley from Hubbard County Road 33 to the north junction with State Highway 87. A detour had been in place since June 1st to accommodate construction. Motorists using this route are cautioned to watch for workers and equipment still in the area as work continues on the shoulders, turf establishment and final striping. Mn/DOT expects the project to be complete by mid September, depending on weather conditions. For statewide information on construction and other related road conditions, call 5-1-1 or log on to Mn/DOTs website at www.511mn.org. ![]() |
