Mn/DOT begins shoulder repair work on Highway 89 south of Highway 1 |

Bemidji, MN. --- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is alerting motorists to a maintenance project to repair the gravel shoulders on State Highway 89 south from the junction with State Highway 1 in Red Lake. According to Don Holt, Mn/DOT Sub-Area Maintenance Supervisor, work has begun this week and could take about a month to complete. Holt said the work involves bringing the shoulders back up to level with the highway in preparation of a bituminous overlay planned for 2007.
