Construction on U.S. Highway 2 begins Monday, July 10th |

Bemidji, Mn. -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is announcing the start of a project to resurface portions of the westbound and eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 2 in Polk County beginning Monday, July 10th. The project also includes culvert replacement and turn lane construction. Traffic will be impacted on Hwy. 2 just east of the Highway 59 overpass to approximately three miles east of Fosston. Motorists are warned to watch for speed reductions and lane changes as traffic will be crossed over and reduced to one lane in each direction. Width restrictions will also be in place. The work is expected to be complete by late September, weather permitting. For statewide
