Motorists cautioned to slow for maintenance work on U.S. Hwy. 2 east of Crookston |

Bemidji , MN . --- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is alerting motorists to a maintenance project which has required the closing of the left east-bound lane of U.S. Highway 2 approximately 6 miles east of Crookston. According to Terry Sorenson, Northwest Sub-Area Maintenance Supervisor, the project is near the intersection with the Highway 2 Truck Bypass and extends for about ¼ mile. Sorenson said a 45 mile per hour speed advisory has been posted and will remain in effect for the duration of the project which is expected to be complete by June 16, 2006 .
