Motorists cautioned about road patching work on U.S. Hwy. 2 in Itasca County

Bemidji, MN. - The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is advising motorists to allow themselves more time to get to their destination this summer as road construction and maintenance activities get in full swing.

According to Don Holt, Mn/DOT Maintenance Sub-area Supervisor in Bemidji, his road patching crew will be working in both directions of U.S.Highway 2 between Ball Club and Deer River in Itasca County this coming Monday, June 12th.

Holt said the road patching will require flagging operations to be in place and drivers should be prepared to slow down and stop for traffic delays.

The work is expected to be complete in one day depending on weather conditions.
