Detour from State Hwy. 64 in effect June 1st |

Bemidji, MN. --- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is notifying the public of a detour from State Highway 64 that will be in effect beginning Thursday, June 1st. Mn/DOT is reconstructing a six-mile portion of State Highway 64 from the north junction with Trunk Highway 87 to Hubbard County Road 33. The project includes culvert replacements, grading and bituminous surfacing. The detour route will direct northbound traffic to State Highway 87 west to Hubbard County Highway 13, north to State Highway 34, then east back to State Highway 64. The detour for southbound traffic will be vice versa. The detour is posted to a 9-ton axle weight limit with no overweight and over width permits issued and will be in place for 90 calendar days with all work expected to be complete by November 1st. Interested individuals are invited to attend weekly project meetings which will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday mornings at the White Oak Township Hall in Chamberlain, beginning May 30th.
