Bemidji, MN. --- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) in conjunction with Canadian National Railway is notifying the public that the rail crossing on State Highway 172 west of Baudette is scheduled for replacement on Tuesday, May 23rd.

According to Mike Kamnikar, Mn/DOT Northwest District Traffic Engineer, the work will require a detour to be in place which will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23rd. Traffic will be routed west to Lake of the Woods County Road 6, then north to State Highway 172. The total length of the detour is 7.25 miles.

Kamnikar expects the work to be complete by the end of the day on Tuesday.
