Bemidji, MN. --- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is notifying the public that a portion of State Highway 64 from the north junction with Trunk Highway 87 and Hubbard County Road 33 is restricted to 5-ton weight limit effective immediately until further notice.

Portions of Highway 64 in this area have rapidly deteriorated in the past few days. Motorists will encounter busted up portions of bituminous and areas of gravel. In addition to the restricted weight limit, a speed reduction advisory has also been posted.

Drivers are cautioned to watch for maintenance crews in the area. This portion of Hwy. 64 is scheduled for reconstruction this year.
