Bemidji, MN. -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is notifying the public that it will officially re-open Trunk Highway 64 south of Akeley in Hubbard County today. Larry Randall, Mn/DOT Project Supervisor, said the road will officially be opened at 5:00 p.m. but work along the roadway will continue for several more weeks. He cautioned motorists to be prepared to slow down and stop for flagging operations as workers and equipment continue to conduct clean-up and turf work in the area. The overall completion date for the project was originally set for October 15th, but with permit delays, additional work encountered and wet weather in May and June, the new completion date was moved to November 15th. Mn/DOT would like to thank the public for their patience during this difficult project and all construction projects. For statewide road condition information, dial 511 or log unto www.511mn.org.
