Mn/DOT schedules resurfacing work on Hwy. 197 and CSAH 21 in Bemidji; public information meeting set |

Bemidji, MN. -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is inviting interested individuals to an informal public information meeting to discuss the start of a mill and overlay project in the city of Bemidji which is scheduled to start on Monday, September 19th. The location for the work is on Trunk Highway 197 (Paul Bunyan Drive N.W.) near the junction with Trunk Highway 71 north, east to the junction with CSAH 21 (Bemidji Avenue North) and north to 29th St. N.W. on Bemidji Avenue. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 14th, from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. at the Mn/DOT headquarters, 3920 Highway 2 West in Bemidji. Representatives of Northern Paving Inc., the prime contractor, will be on hand to talk about the work schedule and traffic impacts. Todd Vonasek, Mn/DOT's Resident Engineer for Construction in the Bemidji area, estimates the work to be complete by October 15th, depending on weather conditions. Individuals,
