Bemidji, MN. -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation (Mn/DOT) is alerting the public to the start of a resurfacing project on a ten-mile stretch of Trunk Highway 71 from Margie to Big Falls in Koochiching County. According to Todd Vonasek, Mn/DOT Resident Construction Engineer in Bemidji, the project is scheduled to start on Monday, August 22nd and will cause some short term delays. Vonasek said the work requires traffic to alternate use of one lane, with a pilot car guiding motorists through the construction zone. Mn/DOT estimates
the work to be complete by September 30th, depending on weather
conditions. For updated
